Kathryn Bennett

A highly respected and experienced HR professional and senior manager with specialist knowledge and expertise in the field of employment law. Strong interpersonal skills, an understanding of the issues facing small businesses, and the ability to interpret legislative requirements into working practices. 

Kathryn is a skilled communicator at all levels within organisations and with employee groups. She works closely with internal staff in a mentor role to facilitate and implement new procedures and working methods.

Kathryn has been a freelance HR Adviser since 1997 specialising in employment law and its implementation into the workplace.

Kathryn lives and works near Ullapool where she provides a remote service to several clients in England as well as working with businesses in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Before becoming freelance, Kathryn held senior HR management positions within a Housing Association, a Scottish Health Board and the Department of Employment. As well as working with SMEs, she has worked with a Chamber of Commerce and clients from the voluntary and not-for-profit sectors.

Kathryn is an active supporter of Macmillan cancer charity, a Board Member of Ullapool Museum, the Treasurer to the local Tourism and Business Association, and a regular volunteer participant and adviser in training and enterprise initiatives at the local high school.
