HIGHLAND YOUTH PIPE BAND
During 2009 I have been a member of The Highland Youth Pipe Band, one of seven Regional Music Groups, run as an extension to the work of the Instrumental Tuition Service in Highland, through which I learnt piping with Pipe Major Niall Matheson.
Membership for all the groups is by audition / invitation after an annual Audition Day and members are drawn from all areas of Highland. Besides HYPB there are:-

As with all the groups members come from all over the Highlands and so we tend to rehearse in Inverness. In 2009 we have played at The Aviemore Highland Resort, and with the Highlanders at Armed Forces Days in Wick and Stirling.
