Garden Party 2023 was held on 16th July at a member's home near Louth.

First of all, a big 'thank you' to our hostess and host for inviting us to their lovely home and for creating such a wonderful atmosphere for everyone. 
Many thanks also to MB for supplying the delicious and refreshing welcoming drink of Sangria and to our members for a magnificent spread of savoury and sweet dishes.
How lucky we were with the weather, which had been rather unstable  the week leading up to our party.  What great pleasure to enjoy our food in the open air with the sun encouraging us to show off our imaginative self-adorned headgear.
As usual, conversation flowed, enhanced by the delightful music from our Hostess's compilation of members' requests.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon was had by everyone. 

IWA Summer Garden Party 2022

We met in a lovely and spacious garden in a village near Louth for the Garden Party and we had enough shelter from the occasional drizzle in the large permanent gazebo and a pop-up version. There was a table laden with delicious savoury and sweet dishes provided by our hostess and all the members together with sangria and other drinks.

Many of the members responded to the invitation to dress festively and our hostess awarded prizes to the three most fun, elegant and lovely costumes. We are most grateful to our generous hostess for her hospitality and making one of IWA’s most popular gatherings possible.

2021 - We held a garden party last summer in a private garden a little way outside Louth - a lovely oportunity to meet up after so long. Members all contribute something to eat and enjoyed company in the sunshine.

On Sunday 2nd July we enjoyed a delightful lunch and long afternoon in the garden at a member's home in Louth.

Everyone brought a delicious savoury dish to share and IWA provided strawberries and cream with a glass of sparking wine.

IWA Swinging Sixties Summer Party 2016

Louth IWA held the Garden Party 2016 on the first really lovely day of the Summer in the beautiful garden of one of our members. The 60s theme was celebrated with music, a quiz, a sing-along competition and a display of 60s photos of members and friends. A delicious buffet and great company ensured a memorable afternoon.

 

Sunday 13 July 2014 - ‘French Themed Garden Party’

Unpredictable weather did not spoil the Louth International Women’s Association Summer Party that was held recently at Withcall home of one of our French members. Luckily we could all comfortably fit indoors. The event, which also included family and friends, had a French theme centering on a wonderful array of food provided by the members. Everyone was dressed in blue, white and red of the French flag and appropriate for the approaching Bastille Day. We also enjoyed a light-hearted quiz on French topics and a background of French music.

2012...The IWA Garden Party.

Wonderful weather secured the pleasures of the Louth International Women’s Association Garden Party which was held recently at the East Ravendale home of one of our members. Starting with sangria and tapas, a colourful array of dishes was provided by members for the event that was also attended by family and friends.
As a bonus at the end of the party our hostess conducted a walk to discover the delightful East Ravendale village and churchyard.

The IWA Garden Party 2011 : Indian Theme

 

 

We held an Indian themed garden party at a member’s home in Louth in July 2011. Over forty members, friends and relatives enjoyed a wonderful feast of Indian food provided by the members under the guidance of our hostess Uma. Many of the guests dressed according to the theme making for a very colourful occasion. A prize of a bag bearing the IWA logo was awarded to Doris for the most beautifully dressed IWA member.

 

 

The IWA Annual Garden Party 2010 was held in July at a Member’s home in Louth.

Everyone contributed to the delicious lunch and bread and sangria were provided by IWA. The weather and setting were marvelous. Many thanks to our generous hostess and host and to all who helped organise this wonderful party.

We also raised a few £££ for WEA funds from the bring-and-buy and the book sale.
