J Shewring Ltd is an engineering design and consultancy firm specialising in the red meat industry.  This includes the design, construction, expansion, extension and upgrading of new and existing abattoirs, cutting plants and game parlours, either to meet business demands or to comply with legislation.

The success of the company is based on the years of experience Jack Shewring, the founder, has in the industry, and on his in-depth understanding of the whole picture, from context through to daily operations. 

This experience is underpinned by the involvement of Jack's daughter, Susan Shewring-Cooper, and his grandson, Jeremy Shewring, in both the design company and the fabrication operation, Roundwell Engineering Ltd. 

The three generations of the Shewring family (seen here at Roundwell loading equipment for a northerly abattoir) are supported by a number of specialists in related fields, details of whom are shown under "Associates".

Jack himself now concentrates on the scoping, design, sourcing, installation and commissioning of plants and extensions, leaving the specialist fabrication and procurement work to Roundwell Engineering Ltd.  (This company shares the same site as J Shewring Ltd at Roundwell Engineering Works, Costessey, Norwich.)

At any one time, Jack may be dealing with twenty or more different projects around the United Kingdom and its islands.
