Wallator Carter Posted by Stephen Wilson on 04 January 2015 Good to find this site. I am the great grandson of Price Wallator Carter’s younger brother John. Posted by John Canning on 08 April 2020 Martha Wallator Hi Trevor, Martha Wallator (born 6 March 1831) of the Cardington branch is my Great Great Grandmother. She married John Carter (born 21 Jan 1827) a blacksmith from Enchmarsh on 31 March 1851 in Pontesbury Methodist Chapel.Their children were ,I believe, George Wallator Carter, John Wallator Carter and possibly others ( I haven't yet signed up Ancestry.com to dig out full details ! ) George married Ada Pulsford in 1880. They had four children, including my grandfather ,Tom Pulsford Wallator Carter who emigrated to New Zealand (via Canada ) in the early 1900's and served at Gallipoli in 1915 as an ANZAC soldier(he is the one mentioned in your links although its misspelt on that website). He had three daughters , all still going strong. I have further dates/info if you ,or any others, are interested. I am happy to be contacted. Kind Regards, Stephen Wilson Posted by Stephen Wilson on 11 November 2014 Hi Stephen Hello from New Zealand and thanks for the post. From it I can now link back to John Carter and Martha as my 3x great grandparents. One of their sons John had daughter Jessie Carter who.married Frances Benson whose son was my grandfather. So thanks and interested if you have more generations to add. Posted by Mike Benson on 16 April 2020 Hi Hi Trevor, This is great. Betty that I have seen you conversing with is my Dad's cousin. Posted by debbi woliter on 10 October 2012 Hi Debbie, Thanks for your message. That is interesting. However, I have had a look at Norwegian surnames on the internet and can't find Woliter (or similar) listed. Not sure how to take this further unless you can provide more details e.g. the village name. Further to my previous post, Martha Wallator and John Carter had nine children. Apart from George Wallator Carter, there were five other brothers ( John, Charles , Richard, Andrew and Philip ) who carried the Wallator name as their middle name. A number seem to have been involved in a coal trading business in the local area ( Shropshire).
In turn Richard had a son, Percy John Wallator Carter (b: 1893)and Andrew had a son Price Wallator Carter (b:1899) who was a long time lecturer in Botany at the University College of Wales,Aberystwyth.
There is at least one " Wallator Carter "around today.
