Why is walking good for me?
"Walking is a man's best medicine" said Hippocrates over 2000 years ago and indeed scientific research has revealed that walking can help us in lots of ways (physical and mental).
The great thing about walking is that it can be done anywhere and at any time. Walking is inclusive and it is free. Walking at a fast pace can be just as good as running. You can mix it up by including hills, mixed terrain, slower relaxing walks or faster aerobic/cardio walks.
Walking can:
