Terms of Membership
Membership
If you live in Chesterton or the surrounding area you can become a member of the Association. Membership is free and easy. If you would like to join as an Idividual, Family, Junior or Associate member just complete the application form Sign Up - Member or Newsletter. Your Membership starts from the moment we receive your form. To be able to vote at AGM you must become a member by 8 June 2010.

Individual Membership
Membership is open to all individuals aged eighteen years or over who live in the area. Individual members have full voting rights at General Meetings. Groups of Individuals may, with the permission of the Management Committee, form themselves into Sections to promote activities that support the objects of the Association.
Family Membership
Membership is open to family groups who live at the same address in the area. All Family members over the age of eighteen are considered as Individual members and have full voting rights at General Meetings. Groups of Individuals may, with the permission of the Management Committee, form themselves into Sections to promote activities that support the objects of the Association.
Junior Membership
Membership is open to Individuals aged under eighteen years, whether living in or outside the area. Junior members may attend as observers but do not have the right to vote individually at General Meetings. They can elect one of their number to vote on their behalf at General Meetings. Groups of Junior members, may, with the permission of the Management Committee, form themselves into Sections to promote activities that support the objects of the Association.
Associate Membership
Membership is open to Individuals aged eighteen years and over who live outside the area. Associate members may attend as observers but do not have the right to vote individually at General Meetings. They can elect two of their number to vote on their behalf at General Meetings. Groups of Associate members, may, with the permission of the Management Committee, form themselves into Sections to promote activities that support the objects of the Association
Affiliate Membership
Membership is open to associations and organisations which operate solely or in part within the area. The organisation must be either voluntary or non‑profit‑distributing. Each association or organisation can elect one of their number to vote on their behalf at General Meetings.
Corporate Membership
Membership is open to business and other commercial organisations within the area. To become a Corporate member go to Donations - Business. Corporate members are asked to make a small annual donation to CCA. More information can be found on the Business page. Each business can elect one of their number to vote on their behalf at General Meetings.
Voting
The Committee shall keep a register of all its members.Only those members recorded in the register 28 days prior to the Annual General Meeting shall have the power to vote.
Cancellation
Any member of the Association may resign their membership and any representative of a member organisation or Section may resign such position, by giving to the Secretary of the Association written notice to that effect using the Contact Us form. Newsletters by email can be cancelled by clicking the Unsubscribe link in the email.
