The photograph competition, sponsored by Hundred Houses Tenants Association, was well supported with 37 entrants in the over 18's category. The Chair of the Tenants Association was very pleased with the response in this first year of the event. It was a little disappointing that no entries for the under 9 years or the under 18 years category were received. Hopefully, with longer notice of the subject title, more photographers will be encouraged to enter in 2011.
After much deliberation the first and second place winners were chosen. The runners-up however proved a little more problematic, so at the digression of the sponsors a ‘Highly Recommended’ category was added for this year.
We would like to give a big thank you to the judges. We were very grateful to them for giving up part of their day to select the winners.
The Hundred Houses Tenants Association would like to congratulate all the entrants for the high standard of photography and thank them for supporting the competition. We hope you will all enter again next year.
