About Us

The Association is a charity and relies on donations from the public and local businesses to carry out its work of providing access to local community facilities and services for local people. CCA does not receive regular income from either the City Council or Government.

If you run, or know of, a local group or club that you would like to see listed on MyCCA then please let us know.

Our initial aim is to assist local people to gain access to local activities. The opening of St Andrew’s Hall, a community hall developed jointly between the community and St Andrews Church, unleashed a whole new range of community activities to meet the needs of local people. The long-term support of St Andrews Hall is a primary objective of the Association.

Longer term aims include offering financial help to local groups, activities and facilities and the management of local community facilities, should this be considered necessary.

The Community Association took the lead role in 2010 Chesterton Festival. A report of the weekends events will be available soon.
