Comar Wood Dun Cannich, Inverness-shire, 2013
On behalf of Forestry Commission Scotland and in conjunction with West Coast Archaeological Services, we conducted an archaeological evaluation and measured survey of Comar Wood Dun in forestry land near Cannich. The aim of the fieldwork was to provide more information about the form, function and date of the dun site. Evaluation trenches across the dun structure, outer enclosure and later attached buildings provided evidence for the function and importance of this type of enigmatic monument.

Cromarty Medieval Burgh Community Archaeology Project Cromarty, Ross-shire, 2013- ongoing
RoCAS worked as part of the project team on this community excavation which aims to uncover the remains of the Medieval origins of the village of Cromarty, located east of the present village. The results of a recent geophysical survey of the site support the identification of archaeological remains, first identified along the shoreline after exposure from winter storms in 2012. Cromarty Homes & Heritage Project Cromarty, Ross-shire, 2013
Working with the local community, RoCAS facilitated workshops to record local memories and reollections of the buildings and properties in the historical village of Cromarty, located at the eastern tip of the Black Isle by the Cromarty Firth. Foyers Caravan and Camping Site Foyers, South Loch Ness, 2013
On behalf of Loch Ness Shores Camping & Caravaning Club, RoCAS monitored site clearance ahead of development on a new caravan and camping site by the banks of Loch Ness.
Tiree Water Main Renewal Isle of Tiree, 2012-2013
In conjunction with West Coast Archaeological Services, we conducted archaeological survey and recording of sites along the proposed water main route and provided monitoring of the water mains rehabilitation on the Isle of Tiree on behalf of Scottish Water.

On behalf of the Highland Council and Morgan Sindall, RoCAS are monitoring excavation during infrastructure changes and construction of the River Ness flood protection development.
Upper Smerral Wind Cluster Dunbeath, 2012-2013
We conducted an archaeological walkover survey of a proposed wind turbine development site and provided consultancy on the heritage chapter of the environmental statement.
Archaeological excavation on 3 military bridges at Achlain Achlain, Invermoriston, 2012
Small-scale archaeological excavations were conducted on three 18th c. Caulfeild military bridges in advance of conservation work to the structures, located within Forestry Commission plantations.
Archaeological survey of Kilmory Burial Ground Isle of Rum, 2012
On behalf of Scottish Natural Heritage, a desk-based assessment and detailed archaeological survey of the Kilmory Burial Ground was conducted to provide a detailed survey of the Scheduled Monument and nearby archaeological sites in order to provide recommendations prior to conservation work to the site.
FCS Measured Monument Plans North Highlands, 2012
On behalf of Forestry Commission Scotland and in conjunction with West Coast Archaeological Services, we completed detailed archaeological survey and recording of site condition for twenty-nine scheduled monuments in the North Highland District. Our works on Skelbo broch and Carn Mor dun is featured in the Forestry Commission's publication Archaeological Measured Survey on Scotland's National Forest Estate.

On behalf of Scottish Water, RoCAS directed the archaeological watching brief during site clearance and subsequent excavation of the remains of a multi-period site that was revealed during the evaluation.

Commissioned by the Strathpeffer Initiative, RoCAS designed, researched and managed the production of an archaeology trail App, narrated by Kirsty MacDonald and implemented by HCVF Inverness and ATS Heritage.
Rosemarkie Caves Project Rosemarkie, Ross-shire, 2011-ongoing
RoCAS provides voluntary, professional assistance to this North of Scotland Archaeology Society (NOSAS) community archaeology project exploring the caves along the Moray Firth shoreline between Rosemarkie and Cromarty.
Broadford Medical Centre Isle of Skye, 2011
On behalf of NHS Highland and alongside West Coast Archaeological Services, an archaeological watching brief was conducted ahead of development. The fieldwork revealed substantial archaeological remains, resulting in a month-long excavation of a multi-period prehistoric site prior to construction of the new hospital.
