Census, Poll Books and Other "People" Records

Both census records and poll books provide valuable information to family history researchers.  For further information about these and to see an example of the type of information held in a Poll Book please go to the individual pages. 

There are many other types of early information on the peoples of North East Scotland.  One example of this is the Farm Horse Tax Rolls which list the name of the owner and the number of horses and mules used in husbandry or trade in 1797 - 1798.
