            STRAWBERRY STAR

SENT IN BY MARIE ( unusual strawberry shape )

December comes and December goes,

With the last red berries and the first white snows,

The night coming early and dawn coming late,

And ice in the bucket and frost on the gate,

The fire burns and the kettles sing,

And earth sinks to rest until next spring.

NICE TO BE ABLE TO PASS ON YOUR KNOWLEDGE TO FELLOW GARDENERS, BUT EQUALLY SATISFYING TO LEARN NEW THINGS FROM OTHERS THAT YOU DIDN`T KNOW. WHETHER YOU HAVE BEEN GARDENING FOR 50 YEARS OR 50 WEEKS WE CAN ALL LEARN FROM EACH OTHER.

Tony Hardy`s polytunnel has some lovely cauliflowers grown from seed   Soon be ready

Tony has covered his orchard with 3 tonnes of mulch, shredded from the trees he has cut down. `It is excellent stuff for mulching` he said.

Another productive area in his poly tunnel.
