Free Membership of Pelvic Instability Network Scotland.

Membership of Pelvic Instability Network Scotland (PINS) is free and  open to anyone, age 18 or over.
It is not restricted to Scotland. We have members from all over the UK and some of our most recent, joining us from Canada, the USA and Hong Kong.

At PINS we recognise that Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) can affect people in many different ways. Some people only ever experience mild symptoms which often do not cause lasting problems. Others, however, experience symptoms which can last long after the pregnancy. This often leads to feelings of isolation and helplessness.

Members of PINS include those who are currently experiencing PGP and those who have experienced PGP in the past who are now recovered and want to help and support others. Knowing someone else who has been through the condition can be so important.

So no matter what stage you are at, no matter how mild or severe your symptoms, please join PINS today and help us help others like you.

Benefits of Membership

  • A quarterly newsletter keeping you in touch with the latest news from PINS, information about pelvic girdle pain  and details of upcoming events.
  • The option to access the PINS online forum where you can share your experiences with others who have or have had PGP, or just to read what other people have to say. Knowing that there are other people in the same position as yourself can be a very helpful part of recovery and may members have found the mutual support and friendship this offers particularly useful.
  • A copy of the newly published  guidelines from the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women's Health on Pregnancy related Pelvic Girdle Pain.
  • Option to be put in touch with other members to offer mutual support and friendship
  • Access to local support networks (if available in your area, as our membership grows).
  • Support with setting up a local support network under the PINS banner,if you wish to do so
  • The ability to vote at the AGM and influence the future direction of the organisation.

PINS is an entirely voluntary organisation, there are no paid members. All our members give up their time on a voluntary basis to help provide information and support to people affected by pelvic girdle pain and to raise awareness of the condition amongst health professionals and the general public.

You can be involved as little or as much as you like and the more members we have the more weight and influence we carry as an organisation.

We need your help to ensure that the voice of people with PGP is heard, that awareness of the condition is improved and that appropriate treatment is available to all those affected by PGP.

Donations are always welcome and help towards our running costs and providing support and information to people affected by pelvic girdle pain.
