HORNBY No.101G.W. PASSENGER SET, Circa 1947.
This has survived in stunning condition.
Matt finish loco with no handing polish, excellent bright gilding, no marks round key hole, perfect buffer beams, coupling mark to bunker back. Coaches each with one small scuff, excellent bright windows. Very good box lid (two corners with old taped repair inside), clean picture label dated 3:47. Fine crocodile base, inner tray with only 3 small repaired splits, rare stock protector card, bright rails, key, lamps & plates in packets, full set of paperwork. This set has seen little if any use.

Super blue box with excellent clean picture label, date 1:52. Stunning loco & coaches, a couple of dull spots to windows. Bright rails, connector plates, key & lamps in packets & full set of paperwork. Inner tray with late Hornby & Guarantee printing, this with two small splits. Full compliment of packing pieces. Unusually the box is assembled with the loco compartment to the right. Unused, old shop stock. Near mint example.

Superb loco, tiny rub to footplate below key hole, Pristine tender & three matching coaches with plastic wheels. Bright rails, connecting plate, key & lamps in packets, full set of paperwork. Very good inner tray with two splits, loco packing pieces. Excellent blue base box with super picture label. Contents; near as damn it mint!
HORNBY MO GOODS SET, Circa 1951.
Red MO loco (paint scuff to dome) & tender in working order with 2 green wagons - bright scratch free condition with all coupling intact. Very sound box with cream base, blue lid & excellent 'Royal Scot' picture label. Several splits to inner stock tray but at least its there! A very lightly used set that has survived in excellent condition.

HORNBY No.51 B.R. PASSENGER SET, Circa1954.
A stunning example. No.51 loco is perfect but has picked up a rust spot to the cab from contact with the end packers, drat! Mint tender & three mint No.51 coaches. Bright rails, connector plate, key & lamps in packets, test tag, full set of matching paperwork 12:53 / 2:54 making this one of the first No.51 set issued. Pristine stock tray & all inner packing pieces. Excellent picture label & super box with minor corner scuffs.

HORNBY M1 GOODS SET, Circa 1958.
Very late final issue of this Hornby stalwart. A surprise to find this in an orange covered box. Unused old shop stock. A tiny scratch to cab side, ditto one wagon. Both wagons have strange holes punched in the sides near to top edge, factory error (?) defiantly a case of using up what parts came to hand! Box with damp damage to left hand side of box lid, perfect inner tray & all packing pieces. Bright rails, connector plates & key in packet, guarantee, & test tag. Contents near mint.
