Terms and Conditions
Orders
1. As all of our designs are individually hand knitted by ourselves, we do not hold quantities of finished stock. We aim to complete and send out all orders within 10 - 21 days of acceptance of your order, but at busy times, it can take longer. Please, therefore, allow up to 28 days, and ensure you build this in when placing an order for a particular date – such as a birthday, or Christmas. Usually you will have it well within this time.
2. No binding agreement will exist between us until we have sent an email accepting your order.
3. Where delivery is to be made to a UK address, a charge of £3.95 has already been added for post and packing, irrespective of the size of the order. We use Royal Mail first class post for all of our deliveries.
4. If you are based overseas, and would like to place an order, please contact us at enquiries@honeypighandknits.co.uk, and we will be happy to assist you with your purchase. There will be an additional charge for post and packing for these orders, currently an extra £3.00 (making the total prostage charge £6.95) per order for Europe, and £6.00 per order for all other destinations (making the total postage charge £9.95). All overseas deliveries are sent by air mail.
5. If your order is to be delivered outwith the European Union, it may attract import duty and local sales taxes. These are the responsibility of the customer to pay on receipt of the delivery. You will not be entitled to cancel your order on the basis of unforeseen levies or taxes, so we recommend you check your liability for these before placing your order.
6. All transactions are in pounds sterling, and we accept payment online through Paypal. All major debit and credit cards are accepted.
Returns
7. It is your responsibility to inspect the goods immediately upon receipt, and to notify us by email within 7 days at enquiries@honeypighandknits if the goods are damaged or faulty. If you do not contact us within this time, you will be deemed to have accepted the goods.
8. Where a claim of defect or damage is made, the goods must be returned to us within 14 days of delivery, in the original packaging. If the goods are indeed found to be defective, you will be entitled to a full refund, including any delivery charges (if outwith the UK) and the return postage which you have incurred.
9. If you wish, for any reason, to return goods which are not faulty, you must do so within 14 days of delivery. They must be returned in perfect condition, in their original packaging, and at your expense. You will be eligible for a full refund of the original cost, less any outward postage costs incurred by us, after we have received and inspected the goods.
10. All returned goods must be clearly labelled to show the original order number and details, as this will enable us to marry it up to the correct records.
11. Goods which have been specially knitted for you (ie have been adapted in some way, and made longer/shorter, wider/narrower, or have been knitted up in a non-standard colour which has been specially sourced for you), will be non-returnable.
12. In order to protect yourself, we recommend that you obtain a proof of posting when returning goods. Items lost in transit remain your responsibility, but a proof of posting may help with the tracking process.
13. The address for sending returns is: Honeypig Handknits, Hazyview, Charlotte Street, Helensburgh, Argyll & Bute, G84 7SE.
General
14. We have attempted to describe our products and illustrate them as honestly as possible. However, please note that while the colours displayed on the website are as representative as possible, there may be small differences between them and the actual goods. Note also that many of our yarns are hand dyed or hand painted, and do not have the lot numbers associated with yarns manufactured in bulk, and by machines. This will mean that there can be variations in tone within one finished article, as well as between finished articles. This is normal, and adds to the uniqueness of each piece.
