17 November 2024INVITATION - ANNIVERSARY

Members of the public are cordially invited to visit the Randolph Community Centre, Stones End, Evenwood, Bishop Auckland, DL14 9RE, between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday 4th December 2024 to commemorate the Parish Council’s 130th-anniversary, which is a significant milestone.

There will be an exhibition of the original minute book containing the names of the parishioners who first stepped forward to serve their community all those many years ago, which could be used to trace any living descendants who are still resident within the parish; and the Teesdale Mercury has provided copies of  articles from the archive of newspapers which mention the first parish council meetings.

Come along and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of celebration cake to commemorate this landmark anniversary.

Members of the public are welcome to stay and attend the monthly parish council meeting which will be held immediately afterwards commencing at 7:00 p.m. on that evening to mark the historic occasion.
