6th March - had a great day getting into the craft entries for the forthcoming YFC country fayre in May at Englefeild estate. Have completed one of my entries and working on a number of others.
Sunday 2nd Feb 2014 - Jess went "bag packing" at Asda in Melksham yesterday and between the 10 of them they managed to raise over £600.00 towards the cost of their Norway trip in July this year.
We travelled onto Bradford on Avon which is a very little picturesque town huddled on steep sided valley around a very muddy looking fast flowing River Avon! Found some lovely little independant shops espeically on the street called the Shambles. Very nice retro clothing shop in the Old Post Office building, small bookshop and a couple of cosy looking coffee shops which were very busy, so much so no room to sit, so we went on and found Coffee Etc in the newer buldings just behind the main street. Nice little craft gallery, shoe shop, butchers and a bistro to name a few. Some of the shops were still closed due to the unfortunate flooding that occured in the beginning of the year. Walked along the river bank towards the Tithe Barn but couldnt get through as the river was up too high and we didnt have wellies. Went back to the car and drove by road to the carpark there. Again lovely location would be delightful with loads to do in the summer although still nice on a drippy afternoon in early Februay.
