Cushions

If you have a chair with an unusually shaped seat, it maybe possible to make a 2 or 3 cm deep cushion, to fit. This could match or coordinate with your curtains and may also be piped along the top edge.

If you have a favourite cushion, or scatter cushion, that needs a new cover, just send the width and length measurement. Let me also know if you would like:

  •  Zip or flap
  •  Piping
  •  Frill – material gathered in the same or coordinating fabric
  •  Piping and frill
  •  Braid with tassels
  •  Tassels on the corners
  •  Oxford edging
Base cushion shaped to fit the chair, with gusset and piped edges.
Here we have a piped cushion. The fabric is cut on the cross of the fabric, so that the fabic's pattern goes from corner to corner.
The cushion the left has an Oxford Edge and is top-sewn as a feature. The cushion on the right has a double frill to match the curtains and coloured lining.
Main cushion has had the leaves highlighted with a small zig-zag stitch, for that applique look. The gold cushions have the Oxford Edge and have been top stitched in co-ordinating cottons.

All cushions are handmade by Wendy at Homely Furnishings.
