7d. The Golden Fringe (Part 4)
"THE GOLDEN FRINGE" (The East Neuk of Fife in days gone by) My dad made this film during the period he was an art teacher at Waid Academy, Anstruther (1955-1968).I am disappointed at the quality of the conversion from cine to DVD which was done many years ago.I would like to find someone to make a better conversion as unfortunately the footage has been "cropped" during the process and titles are displayed at an angle.I hope this will not detract too much from your viewing and that you can still enjoy this glimpse of "days gone by" which I feel are important to preserve. The Scottish Fisheries Museum in Anstruther (www.scotfishmuseum.org) has kindly uploaded Part4, which includes "The Day of The Launch" on the 30th Anniversary of my dad's death which was on 16th May, 1984….. Hope you enjoy this final part of the film!
