Birch art
Some birch art I made on the Wild Project residency in Zdonov, Czech republic. The birch bark there is far better quality than here in Scotland, an abosolute pleasure to work with.
A close up of the birch bucket and tap on the tree.
Testing the birch torch for a performance work
Birch cup, sealed watertight with birch tar of course.
Birch weaved cross on the tree, a pagan symbol long before it got popular.
The whole birch altar.
People visitng the site, thanks to the local deer for choosing the path and the ambient spot, and of course the czech birch trees without which it would not have been possible.
