This is the website for the work of Alasdair Hamilton.  

The pictures draw their subject matter direct from the countryside, for example ploughing, with its geometric imprint; the shape of fields and plantations; rain; seasonal colour moods; plants close-up; the texture and colour of leaves, wood and seeds. A new picture on this close-up theme is shown here..

There is a new section on shop fronts - local buildings which display interesting  use of colour or eccentric structural features. Times move fast in the retail world though, as three of them have been altered quite significantly since I painted them.
