Founded in 2007 as NorWest Sea Kayaking, now rebranded as Summer Isles Sea Kayaking, we are the same great team, with the same knowledge and experience…just rebranded.

Come and paddle with local company NorWest Sea Kayaking. We have a seafront hut as our base in Ullapool, from where we run trips and hire. We also have a base in Achiltibuie-The Summer Isles and Lochinver from where we explore The amazing Summer Isles and Assynt coastline. We are able to run trips further south in the Gairloch area on request.
Family Courses and Holidays
Why not try a Family Camping Adventure, paddle to a secret location and live in your very own tipi, learning firelighting and forraging skills.
Or try out one of our Introduction to Sea Kayaking Family Courses, where you can learn a new skill as a whole family, and have fun fun fun, it is suitable for young and old so everyone can get involved! We have double sea kayaks that are suitable for all ages.
Or come on one of our Family Accommodation Tours, where you relax in lovely accommodation, eat great local food and take to the water as a family, paddling somewhere different each day!
Sea Kayak Fishing & Foraging Trips
You will paddle and fish for your tea from your kayak, We regulary catch pollock, makerel, and sea trout. We will also explore the coastline to see what other wild treats we can find. We will then land on a beach and cook up fish, mussels, seaweeds etc!
