Getting to Mull and Harbour Guest House
The Isle of Mull is reached by Calmac ferry from Oban, taking approximately 45 minutes for the crossing. It is advisable to book your ferry in peak holiday season if you are travelling by car.
Directions
In Craignure, turn right from the ferry terminal and follow signs to Tobermory. The road becomes single track with passing places after Salen and the journey will take approximately 40 minutes. At the roundabout in Tobermory follow signs to the Main Street, go down the hill and once past the car park Harbour Guest House is the 2nd building on the left. There is free parking outside the Guest House and in the car park.
For foot passengers, the bus to Tobermory picks up outside the ferry terminal and terminates in the harbour car park near the distillery. Bus timetables can be obtained from from West Coast Motors. Alternatively, taxis can be arranged in advance with Mulltaxi.
Two other car ferries also cross to Mull - the Lochaline/Fishnish ferry from Morvern, and the Kilchoan/Tobermory ferry from the Ardnamurchan peninsula. These are smaller ferries and cannot be booked in advance.
- From the Fishnish ferry, turn right at the end of the road and follow signs for Tobermory as before. It takes approximately 30 minutes to reach the Guest House.
- From the Kilchoan ferry drive along the Main Street and we are the last but one green building on your right before the car park.
