Meetings to iron out any residential difficulties don`t happen,any positive suggestions to improve matters are ignored and complaints rarely receive an acknowledgement never mind a response? Furthermore, the Maintenance and Service charges are an exhorbitant rip off for sub-standard or non existent work? I could go on and on, but more importantly this Association desperately needs an external, independant investigation both financially and institutionly to resolve this ongoing problematic situation."
We had NO manager for over a 3 years, they cut off the "Call System" now Have DOUBLED the "Support "service charge. Worst management you could have.

We own our own property and.....
We have had NO WARDEN, NO Lounge, No Wash Room,No guest room BUT these Rouges charge us £39 plus a week, Dubious accounts with "Double" sets, dreadful cleaners and incompetent gardeners all having their contracts renewed despite many complaints.The scum of the managing agents. MALAKAs as our greek coach driver used to say.
The saga of this predominately female organisation continues ?
Pushing from one disaster to another – most recently “The Disconnection” of the emergency care-line in the middle of “Covid lock-down”. With all residents in lock-down no meetings could be arranged to discuss alternatives, instead we were told to arrange our own system? A responsible company would have suggested and arranged a group booking with “Age concern” and the cost would have been divided as previously done with “Tunstall”. NO a sheltered housing development with the Lease broken and no emergency alarm built in.
REPAIRS are a “Disaster” the most recent taking 3 visits by different employees to fix the Job in question and each time we are charged for the same job (a recent half inch hole in the passage way (our lounge) was deemed “ASBESTOS RATED” hundreds of pounds charged (we independently took a sample”) then it was deemed NOT to have Asbestos by Westward, it has been plastered 3 yes 3 times
Gardens, and Cleaners another ongoing concern, Westward fully aware but helpless they are not fit to look after your pet rabbit let-alone pensioners. We pray for a takeover from “Sanctuary Housing”

Latest.... Retirement Residential Homes - Beware? The Latest scam involves the so called Fire Prevention companies (of which there are many now appearing) ever since the Red fire buckets filled with sand and the Extinguishers were deemed useless new ideas and scams have been sought. The latest involves "Fire Door inspection" every fire door has to be looked at by (An EXPERT) at a cost of anything from £30 each. Beware of specific words or phrases being uttered, for example "It is recommended" or "Its company Policy" or "the guidance says.." or "this company's advisors say
The solution....Call in the local fire brigade or local fire safety "Of your choice" Ask is this a legal requirement if so show proof. This has the unmissable stench of another Scam.
Westward Housing living up to its reputation as being in the worst 5 Housing Associations? Recently despite many many complaints the "Grounds Maintenance" contract was re-awarded to the ORIGINAL providers. This was mainly due to a clause in the contract "Called T.U.P.E "which basically means if a new contractor takes over they are obliged to take on the OLD staff!!! - Who in their right mind would consider this?? This is Westward Housing for you!!!! -
