We have all gone through a difficult time with Covid - but it's time to get back on track and start partying again.
Our Regent Park venue has changed now and our new location is The Mercury Motel on the A6 near Westhoughton - so a really easy accessible venue with plenty of parking and comfy chairs.
The dance floor is only small but the atmosphere is really good - takes you back to the 50's and 60's as it is one of the first motels to be built similar to the American ones.
Booking for these Sunday afternoon events is essential as the numbers are limited due to the floor being small - but then again this is mainly a social event and we will be raising money for local charities from any items contributed by dancers and raffled off during the event.
The music we play will suit (Ceroc) Jive dancing and the tunes will be irresistable not to get up and dance.
The music volume will allow chatting to be enjoyable so a social atmosphere is respected.

This will be a monthly event with flexible dates to suit the hotel itinerary.
Entry to the dance will be £5 for dancers and £1 for non-dancers. oon. - keep safe.

Charity raffles
Our dances at our last venue (befor covid lockdown) raised a total of £4459 for various local charities by you being so generous - bringing raffle prizes and buying raffle tickets - well done everyone .

Purpose
Video-Music club is based in Bolton and was the only jive club north of London that played jive music whilst showing the bands on an 8 foot projector screen ( the projector screen will not be assembled at the Mercury venue until advised in the near future)
The clubs philosophy is to enjoy all genres of music and to celebrate the artists who have given us so much pleasure in our love of dance music
Whilst focusing our dances on modern jive style we also include charleston + swing + rock/roll + country + northern soul + disco to all our freestyle dance nights to ensure everyone can have fun doing their 'thing' .
(When our videos are up and running again they will be compilations of photos and videos from the internet so that the artists can be seen whilst playing the best dance numbers of their era.)
Our club's policy is for anyone attending to be able to ask anyone for a dance and thus more able to make friends + enjoy the dance afternoons better.
Whilst having fun we also dedicate a portion of our events to raising money for LOCAL charities .
