The aspirations of a young man joining the RAF and learning to fly Tiger Mothaircraft.A short spell in amateur dramatics and some labouring work,before walking in an Army recruitment office in Lincoln to see what they could offer,and walking out a short while later having signed on for a three year term. Then after seeing an advert in the Flight Magazine --Crop Culture,an agricultural spraying company was in the market for pilots. A meeting with Jim McMahon and a short check flight in an Auster and l was in the flying game. After working for Crop Culture,Westwick Distributors,Lincs Aerial Spraying Co and Miller Aerial Spraying Ltd,eventually starting Boston Aviation Services Ltd at Boston Aerodrome,Boston ,Lincolnshire.
