Blogging about... blogging!

My involvement with social media can be adeqately summed up in one word: none. I have never tweeted (though I do admit to occasionly having perused other people's tweets), never blogged, never even thought about signing up to Facebook, and have been proud to admit I don't even know anything about other forms of social media.
This post represents a departure from all that. Why? The answer is twofold. The immediate trigger has been the Bodleain Library's 23 Things programme. While I am not actually participting in the programme, it provides a useful guide. Over the longer term, I have gradulally realised the wider implications of social media, both in immediate social groups, but also in the wider world of infomation. So here I am, and I'm here to stay. Perhaps
