I have been running a successful small wholesale and retail cosmetics, perfume and hosiery business through auction sites, mail order and car boot sales.
The profits have been excellent. Due to promotion at work i now have to spend 2-3 days away so i cannot give it my full attention.
I succeeded because I did my homework in advance, and searched far and wide for reliable suppliers who sold the right goods at a price that enabled me to sell them on at a good profit, whilst charging far less than retail price to my customers.
Good customer service, fair postage charges and reliability helped, but the most important thing in a retail business is the right goods at the right time, at the right price. I won't be rejoining the cosmetics market, as I don't have any time during office hours to do banking, posting etc.
What I am therefore offering, is the info so you start your own business. I will provide the winner of this auction everything they need to set up for themselves. This is not some dodgy wholesaler CD-Rom or lists. This is not a get-rich quick scheme, or any kind of pyramid.
The winner of this auction will get my supplier details, including full contact details and their catalogue lists and order forms.
The Wholesaler My wholesaler offers hundreds of different lines in make-up, skincare, perfume, hosiery, lingerie and other items.
They sell budget well-known brands, right up to top makes like Elizabeth Arden, Nina Ricci, Charnos, Mary Quant etc; with a whole lot of solid high street brand in between, such as Rimmel, Revlon, Oil of Ulay, Max Factor and L'Oreal. Most products are a minimum order of 3, although some are 2 and some are up to 6. There is no minimum order value.
They are mail-order, and will ship any quantity of goods within 3-4 days, subject to a maximum carrier charge of £8.80 (for next day delivery).
Shipping is free on orders over £125.00.

From this, you can see what profit you can make. If you buy a lipstick for 33p, and sell it for £1.49 (retails at £4.99), you make 390% profit, and the customer saves a packet! (wholesaler prices exclude VAT) I will send the winning bidder the catalogue, name, address, telephone number, fax number etc of this supplier.I will also include my easy bookkeeping system (requires microsoft office to run), to keep track of you incomings and outgoings, as well as templates for all my emails and Terms and Conditions.
I will put the catalogue on the cd. This is a business you can run from home around family commitments. You can run this as an internet business, market stall, car boot seller or even in a shop. These supplier details (I must have thrown 100's of supplier details in the bin because they were too expensive!).

A few hours a week and a small investment in stock (I started with £50) will make you some nice pocket money for whatever you want, maybe saving up for a summer holiday or paying your after-christmas credit card bill! This is a UK-only auction, as I do not know enough to advise on the import/export of goods, and the costs would probably be preclusive.
