Introducing ourselves.

Bill and myself (Brenda) have been running the Bronze Bootscooters Line dance classes now for just over 20 years. Up until last year, we both played the music and did most of the running of socials and events jointly. Unfortunately last March Bill suffered a stroke which has made him take a somewhat back position in the running of things. Thankfully he is progressing really well and hopefully will take a more active roll the more he improves.  Until then I myself have had to take a more prominent position in booking of acts and dealing with the weekly running of the classes.  Thankfully, we only run one night a week, which helps immensley.

Our classes are doing very well in attendance and have such a friendly atmosphere.  Our socials are always a sell out and I do try and bring in a good mix of performers and to give value for money -  we usually have two artists per night, and have not increased our prices for a very long time.

2017 we have some fabulous artists coming along, many being the first time to appear on the Bootscooter stage. We've also raised quite alot of money for charity and have done so in enjoyable ways, and hope to continue to do more in the future.

Regarding the dances, I do try and keep up to date with what's popular, but draw the line at some of the 'head banging' stuff that gets taught elsewhere, and doesn't last 5 minutes on the circuit. The nicer dances are the ones that stay around for longer and we enjoy dancing to. So lets keep it that way.
