The Bird In Hand is perhaps the friendliest pub in the town. The place is full of a great mix of characters, and often great new faces as long lost friends. With good beer & fantastic food the BIH is great in the winter with its cosy atmosphere and warming fire and equally in the summer with the alfresco dining area & sunny garden. If you have not been, its well worth a visit!
