Instrument of Your Peace – St. Francis of
Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love,
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith,
Where there is despair, hope,
Where there is darkness, light,
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console,
not so much to be understood as to understand,
not so much to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
it is in dying that we awake to eternal life.
Amen
Understanding Prayer
God of all understanding, you have promised to give wisdom to anyone who asks.
As I walk through life, give me wisdom and understanding in every decision I make.
Guide my thoughts and direct my steps.
When I experience uncertainty and confusion, may I lean on your limitless wisdom.
May your Holy Spirit be at work in me like a lamp to my feet and a shield to my mind.
Help me to think clearly and calmly.
Help me to act with confidence and wisdom.
Help me to glorify you in everything I do.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
Peace Of Mind Prayer
All-Knowing Father, you know and direct my future.
You make all things work together for my good.
Help me to trust you as I think about my future.
Give me peace of mind.
Whatever happens, I know that you are working for my good and your glory.
Help me to live with freedom, knowing that my future is in your mighty hand.
I do not know what is around the corner but nothing can take you by surprise.
I face uncertainty but I can be certain that you are in control and that you are good.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
Remove My Fear Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me feel peace when I feel afraid.
When I feel surrounded by trouble and pressure help me know I am surrounded by you.
What can the world do to me when you are with me?
Replace my fear of the future with trust in your provision and care.
Replace my fear of rejection with confidence in my identity as your child.
Replace my fear of failure with faith that you go before me.
May your peace sink deeply into my mind and my heart.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
Love and Kindness Prayer
God of the Universe thank you that you are my creator, you know me better than anyone else.
You made me and you love me.
The same hand that threw stars into space reaches down to me with a gentle touch.
Help me to cast all my anxieties onto you because you care for me.
Let me be filled with the peace that comes from knowing your love and kindness.
Whatever I do, in word or deed, may I do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.
