A GUIDE FOR PARENTS

The Suzuki way of teaching is a unique child-centred way, ensuring progress and ultimately musical succes in the chosen instrument. The philosophy promotes a "mother tongue" way of learning i.e. we hear before we talk. It is a "whole life" approach which stimulates all aspect of learning.

Every child learns from their parents before being exposed to the wider community.

Children have their own unique learning experiences and will always be individuals.

Every child learns at their own pace and in their own way. The teacher guides, the parent encourages and supports, the child learns.

The parents attends every lesson.

A calm area is created at home for learning. It should have a CD player so that The Suzuki CD can be listened to daily.
