The SSRHW will work to involve the most appropriate partners with expertise in relation to specific developments for remote, rural and island communities across Scotland. There is further scope for the School to forge international relations to share rural health provision models and their transferability to other settings and producing quality outcomes. The developing countries present particular opportunities for effective knowledge exchange.
The school has been designed to build on the success and expertise of a range of existing education, research and training partnerships. Current partners include:
NHS Education for Scotland
University of the Highlands and Islands
University of Aberdeen
University of Stirling
The Open University
NHS24
NHS Shetland
Institute of Remote Healthcare
