1.   Dress code.    Grey and White, or registered Club shirts, (providing worn by all playing members)

2.   Teams shall consist of 3 mixed pairs.   Should more than 12 teams apply for registration then two leagues will be formed.

3.    Each team shall be made up of 3 males and 3 females with 1 male and 1 female in each pair.

           (a)       Where a club has entered two or more teams in the competition, the use of subs shall be unrestricted.

           (b)       The above rule (3a) does not apply to cup and league K.O. competitions.

                        

4.   Each match shall be played over 16 ends.

 

5.   Points shall be awarded on the following basis – 2 points for each of the winning rinks. 1 point for a draw.  Aggregate score to be recorded in the event of a tie in points by two or more clubs at the end of the season.

a) In the event of inclement weather 10 ends may be agreed before the start of the match. 10 ends must be played to constitute a match.

b) If any rink plays more than 10 ends before a match is called off, match scores to count as at that time.

c) If a player is taken ill during a game and is unable to continue playing after a reasonable interval, say 10 mins, and there is a suitable reserve present they can substitute with the     agreement of both captains. If there is no sub or agreement between the captains the game on that rink shall be abandoned with the scores recorded as standing.

d)Maximum waiting time to start a match shall be 15 minutes.

 

6.   League matches shall be on a home and away basis normally played on Thursday afternoons unless rearranged as per rule 7.

 

7.   In the event of a green being unavailable due to adverse weather conditions, damage to the green or its use for a county match / visiting team , or where a club cannot provide a full team on the day, the match shall be rearranged by agreement between the team captains.  If no agreement can be reached for the match see rule 7(b)

(b)  Alternatively the match can be payed with 2 pairs on each side, (see rule 9).  If this is not possible and there is no agreement for rearrangement the match reverts to the fixture list and rule 8 applies. 

 

8.    Any club failing to field a team or fulfil a fixture shall forfeit all points to the opposition, plus 15 shots.

 

9.    If a team puts out only two pairs then that team shall forfeit 2 points to the opposition, plus 5 shots.

 

10.    League fees shall be £3 per team or as determined at the AGM.
