loved the build really enjoyed reading about sandy, hope you are both coping well and the illness is stable/improving. really hammers home that life is fragile and needs living. might see you around as i only live in stanground Posted by Richard on 23 January 2014 Richard, Thank you for yor kind word re Jackie. Unfortunately no happy ending. Cancer always wins in the end but on a positive note we had 37 happy good years together and it makes the traveling worth while with lots of happy memory's. Sandy is close to being finished, will she ever be completed. I doubt it. Just in the process of fitting a new engine, big inter cooler, ken low fan, alloy rad and uprating the pump to give me about 145bhp from the 111. I must put more on the website as quite a few seem to be interested. I am in Stilton so not much distance between us. Bob Best regards. Bob Posted by Bob on 28 February 2014 Doing Something Similar Hi Guys, I do hope things are going better for you. I am doing something similar to you and am just starting on the adventure. I have a 130 which I have extended by a metre and am making in to a flatbed. I bought an aluminium luton body and am cutting it down to fit on the back of the 130 with legs to make it detachable. A long way to go, but I like much of what you have done. Regards Phil Posted by Philip Crompton on 14 January 2014 Phil, Lots of hard work in a conversion. I would not like to think of the hours work. Labour of love sums it up. If you want ideas think about going to the overland exhibition at Warwick race track in August (I think) if you want details let me know. Every type, shape and idea for overland travel. Done lots from the last update, big inter cooler, new engine, alloy rad, ken low fan and up rating to about 145 bop from 111. Don't want top end but a little more grunt up them hills. Keep in touch we can swap ideas. Never too much help. Bob Treboris@rocketmail.com Posted by Bob on 28 February 2014 where are you now Hi Guy's we are in the same boat currently resting up in Southern France after 6years on the road from Aus. 108 Country's under the wheels ans we have arrived at the same mess. The info very useful, although I downloaded the site a while back I did not read it completely as I should and forgot about it until now. I'm in the process of building my own motorhome and the encouragement I get from reading your process is just wonderful. Many blessings and best wishes with your future plans. Patrick, Cape Town, 21 April 2012. Posted by Patrick on 21 April 2012 Your trip Guys, try and not give up, no matter what life throws at you. Loved your vehicle build- put my effort to shame.
