We are David and Elinor McClymont and we live in  Ayrshire on the West Coast of Scotland .  We share our home with our two sons and seven beardies.  We have always had dogs both at the farm and at home.  We got our first bearded collie just after we were married, he was Sammy and he was from the Sallen lines,  he came to stay with us when he was two years old.  Sadly we lost him when he suffered a stroke.

 A few months later we decided to get another beardie, so after a long search we found our Lulu.  She was from a lovely litter from Lauder in the Borders.  Lulu is a lovely family pet and has dabbled in the show ring, she has done reasonably well considering we had no intentions at all in showing her, we just decided one day to go along to a local show to see the beardies and we were hooked.  We decided we would like another beardie for showing so we got in touch with a lady from the East Coast of Scotland and this is when we got Huggie, sadly it didn't work out with Huggie, he was a beautiful dog but unfortunately he wasn't entire so we decided to get him neutered  for health reasons but after his operation his whole temperament changed and he became aggressive especially towards the other dogs.  So with having two young sons we couldn't take any chances, so regrettably we had to rehome him.  He lives with a lovely couple with no other dogs and a grown up son  and is perfectly happy. We then got in touch with Lesley and Sally Tomlinson from the Coalacre kennel, whose beardies we had admired, and they kindly gave us Fergus,  Fergus also has done reasonably well in the show ring gaining his stud book number.

We decided to have a litter from Lulu hence the beginning of the REAOSH affix.   The name REAOSH is made up of a combination of our son's names Reagan and Josh.  All the REAOSH beardie pups kennel names are named after songs from  Deep Purple albums, David is a great fan, the REAOSH beardies who have stayed at home are Reaosh Lady Double Dealer, Reaosh Purpendicular, Reaosh Lady Luck, and Reaosh Smoke on the Water .
