A Quick Note About Pensioners Living In France Who Are Getting A Raw Deal

The current (December 2013) Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Iain Duncan Smith ignored emails sent to him from concerned pensioners with regard to the tricks used to remove their Winter Fuel Payments. The stunt pulled is to attempt to remove the rights of Winter Fuel Payments to people living in warmer countries despite the fact that in many cases the countries they resided in were as cold or even colder than Britain.

Official figures for France were given to the UK Government which proved that the temperatures in France certainly qualified those living there to receive the benefit they were entitled to by law. It appears that The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and the Prime Minister stood by while the figures were doctored by introducing countries thousands of miles away from France that were under its flag.

By including places where hardly any British people lived such as French overseas territories Martinique and Guadeloupe in the Caribbean, French Guiana on the equatorial coast of South America and even Réunion, which is south of the Equator in the Indian Ocean tropics, Mr Duncan Smith was able to rule out legitimate payments going to ex pats living in France. A filthy and disgusting dirty tricks campaign was countenanced by both of them.

Winter temperatures in these countries are typically 25-30C and by being crafty and including them, despite the fact they were not originally included in the research documents because they were thousands of miles away, they have managed to juggle the figures to make France (which is freezing in winter just like Britain) appear much warmer than Italy (where they WFP remains) Not a very nice thing to do or be known to be involved with. Outright trickery and low life skulduggery worthy of the cheap underhand tactics seen in rogue states run by despots.

What it does do for pensioners is demonstrate the type of person Iain Duncan Smith and Cameron and what they are both capable of. The question will now always remain that if Iain Duncan Smith and Cameron as a politicians in power are prepared to do this sort of thing and become involved in subterfuge of this level against the interests of pensioners then they are not fit for purpose and must be removed from office through the ballot box at the earliest opportunity.

For a serving members to engage in this and to ignore direct communications from rightfully concerned pensioners in hardship during the bitter cold is an unforgivable act of contempt that must not go unpunished. These politicians and their families will no doubt be sitting in warm comfort in winter yet they want to deny that same basic right to those he is being highly paid to represent by using cheap con tricks.

Cameron and Duncan-Smith will quite happily allow British Pensioners to suffer and freeze in the cold. At the same time the same government wastes and squanders fantastic sums on meaningless pointless bureaucracy and throws billions abroad at the drop of a hat to assist countries on the other side of the planet. These men do not care less about the truth in this and instead support fiction.

Iain Duncan Smith and Cameron must go as soon as possible and not just from his post but out of politics altogether and we call on every voting pensioner at the appropriate time to ensure he is removed from office at the first opportunity. Closer to the elections we will be offering advice on how to campaign effectively against Cameron & Co and their  anti pensioner regime. Now we have seen their true colours they can never be trusted again and we must do all we can to ensure future pensioners receive a better deal by making certain they are both completely out of the political theatre.

Threats to close this website will make no difference. In its place ten more will go up overnight alongside hundreds of other information highways such as Twitter and Facebook etc plus links to numerous other sites. We will fight them in the same way they have decided to fight against the rights of ex pat Pensioners in France who have had their rights taken away and will suffer in the cold.

If politicians set out to treat pensioners in this way then they can expect a backlash. Pensioners are not a bunch of old fools to be tricked and cheated by people just because they became elected. The same people can very swiftly be unelected.

Because a pensioner chooses to reside in France does not mean they are to become targets for the likes of Iain Duncan Smith and Cameron. These pensioners have paid in and done their bit. It is up to them where they choose to end their days. British politicians should not set out to abandon them and those that do should hang their heads in shame. A disgusting display of ruthlessness against ones own people. To plot and scheme and alter official figures to suit a pre determined purpose is unforgivable and if a politician is capable of that against those he was elected to represent under the Representation of The peoples Act then they a poor choice indeed.
