New for 2015/16 - Red Kites are BACK!
Yes, after much consideration Netball North has decided to enter a team in the Scottish Cup for season 2015/16. Previously coach Jermaine McCracken took a mixed squad called Red Kites, to the Orkney Netball Fest and came runners up and also played in the Scottish Cup 2008/09. The revival of the team is good news for players with experience who want some tough competition in the knock out Scottish Cup.
The team is made up of a mix of experienced players and aspiring junior players. The squad of ten players taken from different teams from across the Highland region will enter the Scottish Cup Tournament on Saturday 14th November. This will mean the Highland area, with a total population of less then 300,000 has two teams in the Scottish Cup. Well done to all the players who entered through the Fyrish Flyers team over the past two seasons and good luck to both teams this year.
