Regulatory Assets

In a recent observation about that I was quoted:
"...growing difficulties emerging in the IC/leasing environment..."
In accordance with the difficulties in Philadelphia, an intriguing statement emerged from the CAB - L participant:

It appears to me to be a testimonial to feeble-willed regulatory folks.
The town is free to scrutinize need English competence, cabs, driving skills, and geographical understanding, however it chooses to not. It doesn't have anything related to the IC/leasing environment and everything related to getting the easy solution. For more on cabs check out stafford airport taxis.

Sadly, this quotation didn't contain my concluding observation. My absolute statement was:

My observation reflected the world that in our universe of atomized IC's, the regulator can't actually have sufficient assets as long as civic budgets are managed by sharp pencils in a budget section entirely taken out of the world of the front-line.

Yes, "... The town is free to scrutinize cabs, need English competence, driving skills, and geographical knowledge,....". It's not just free to perform as such, but also has a responsibility and an obligation to perform as such.

There clearly was a time 'leventy-7 years past, once the regulator had a compliance associate within the Operations Supervisor of common cab companies which "employed" drivers. Period of interest was within a mangeably little number of people.

There's an alternative......

Under this type of scheme, regulatory costs will immediately escalate out of sight to fund all of the compiance officers they desire out there in the street, doing their utmost to gather all of the dog dogs to have them all pulling together for consistency of functionality and service standards.

For such regulatory environments currently exists, this isn't a fantasy, nor your worst nightmare. They've tended to arise as an act of despair to cope with growing difficulties emerging outside of the IC/leasing environment.

For they essentially do the best they can with quite limited resources, don't let yourself be too fast to condem the regulators.
