DofE open gold practice expedition - Lake District 31st March 2016

The DofE open gold practice expedition in the Lake District will prepare you for your assessment in the High Atlas mountains in Morocco starting 3rd August 2016. You will have the opportunity to ask your supervisor as many questions as you need and get to know your team members.

Thursday 31st March 2016 - Arrive in Ambleside 5PM
• Introductions
• Menu planning
• Food shop
• Route planning and aim
• Question & answer session - kit and itinerary
Stay over night in youth hostel

Friday 1st - Monday 4th April 2016 – expedition
• Depart 9am for expedition, carrying full pack. Cover all aspects of DofE gold expedition syllabus. Including first aid, emergency scenarios, navigation, teamwork and campcraft. Finish in Keswick by 3pm.
Camping

Price £205 per participant

Included in price: 2 x DofE trainers, 1 nights accommodation in youth hostel, 3 nights camping, tents and stoves, maps

Excluded in price: Personal DofE equipment, meals (please bring £30 for supermarket shop), travel from start and finishing point, water purifying tablets.
