Super Mario
Princess Peach Toadstool is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. Peach was created by Shigeru Miyamoto, and is the damsel-in-distress throughout most Mario games. Since her debut in Super Mario Bros., Peach has appeared in Mario games for over 20 years.
Birdo is a character in the Mario series. In fact, there have been multiple characters known as "Birdo," similar to multiple Donkey Kongs and multiple Yoshis that have appeared throughout history. The concept of a Birdo character was not solidified until the same pink Birdo began appearing in various spin-off titles. The central Birdo character (that appears in the Mario Kart series, the Mario Party series and the various sports titles) wears a red bow, a diamond ring, and appears to have a close relationship with Yoshi, as they are the automatic partners in various competitions.
Rosalina is a character who made her debut appearance in the game Super Mario Galaxy. Rosalina first appears in the Gateway Galaxy, and she is also the adopted mother of the Luma. Rosalina commands the Comet Observatory. She is a very powerful figure, as her duty is to watch over and protect the cosmos as well as the Luma. King Bowser Koopa is the supreme leader of the Koopa Troop, King of the Koopas, and the arch-nemesis of Mario. Repeatedly, he tries to kidnap Princess Peach and take over the Mushroom Kingdom. The Koopa King has attempted to conquer the entire Mushroom World many times, as well as the entire universe. Bowser Jr. is Bowser's eighth child and the heir to the Koopa throne. Bowser Jr. is seemingly the youngest of Bowser's eight children and the Koopa King's favorite offspring (at least, for the time being). His other seven children, who used to conquer whole kingdoms, are now regulated to simply guarding Bowser's Castle. Bowser Jr., on the other hand, is allowed to accompany his father in various schemes, such as Super Mario Sunshine and New Super Mario Bros. Toad is Princess Peach's attendant and a long time protector of the Mushroom Kingdom. He is actually a singular character among an entire species of look-alikes (much like Yoshi). He once made many appearances in the mainstream Mario games, but has lately been reduced to being a playable character in the Mario spin-off titles, while Toadsworth has taken over many of his previous roles. Toadsworth is an elderly Toad and Princess Peach's longtime steward, first appearing in Super Mario Sunshine, where he comes along with Princess Peach and Mario to Isle Delfino. He is always worried about the princess and takes care of the Toads. He has a southern English accent and often utters general English phrases like "Tally-ho!", "Pip pip!" and "By my grandfather's marmalade!", most of which made their debut in Mario Party 7.
Goombella is a very smart and sassy Goomba girl from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. She is the first companion to join Mario on his quest, and aspires to be an archaeologist. She provides tattle information to Mario about his location or the character who stands in front of him all throughout the game.
Flurrie (also known as Madame Flurrie) is Mario's third party member in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Madame Flurrie is not to be confused with Flurry, an enemy from Super Mario Bros. 2. She is a Wind or Cloud Spirit, and a slightly pompous actress (she resumes her career at the end of the game). Her ability is to blow out large amounts of wind, which can (in the overworld) make incoming enemies dizzy or blow away flaps. Vivian is a major character in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Vivian originally worked as a member of the villainous Shadow Sirens alongside her sisters, Beldam and Marilyn. Later, Vivian defects from the Shadow Sirens and joins Mario as his fifth party member. Although she suffers from an inferiority complex, throughout the events of the video game, Vivian's character develops as she learns to respect herself. Admiral Bobbery is Mario's sixth party member in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He is the final required one, as party member number seven, Ms. Mowz, is optional. Ms. Mowz is a Little Mouser encountered in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. She is the only optional party member available in the game; and depending on when the player acquires her, she is either the sixth or seventh member to join Mario's party. She is known to constantly flirt with Mario, which tends to annoy Flurrie and Goombella.
