COMMUNITY COUNCIL is a link between the people and the Highland Council. It consists of elected volunteers who meet most months, now at Kirkton Hall, usually on the third Tuesday of each month (except in the summer holidays) at 7 p.m.
EVERYBODY who lives in Auchtertyre, Avernish, Balmacara, Kirkton, Glaick and Reraig is entitled and warmly encouraged to attend these meetings. It’s the best way to know what is going on and to have your say about how the area is run. You can tell the people who represent you on the Community Council what you want to happen around here. More often than not, one of our four Highland Councillors will also be in attendance so your concerns can be addressed directly to them. Use the contact page if you are interested.
