Babies are the most beautiful gift of anyone’s life.  But for a new mummy, it is very difficult to take care of the newest member of the family. It needs to be much alert while take care of the most delicate person. But every mummy needs some guidance to nurture her most precious possession. So here are some guidelines to take care of the newborn babies.

Feeding:
Feeding on time is the most important thing for the little ones. As they don’t have the ability to inform about their appetite, you have to understand when he or she wants to feed. Breast feeding and bottle feeding are the two ways you can use to fulfil the need of food for your baby. Consult your doctor first before taking a decision regarding the feeding process. The baby must get its first feed half an hour after the delivery. You have to feed him 8 to 10 times a day as per the requirements. You can track the quantity of the milk he or she is getting by the number of wet cloth diapers have to change. For bottle feeding take care of the following things: the expiry date of the bottle or can, washing hand before feeding, test the temperature of the milk before feeding, the hygiene of the bottle and some other things. Always consult a doctor if anything seems to not normal.

Hygiene:
The Hygiene measure is a very important thing for the new born baby. As they are not accustomed with the pollution and germs, you need to keep him or her protected from the bad effects. While bathing, the baby gets exposed to the outer world. So you need to use cleaned and soft towel or blanket, clean cloth, clean cloth diapers, cotton balls and infant tub. You can use pocket nappies as it will give the baby more comfort. It is better to give the baby sponge bath until the umbilical chord has fallen off from the baby.

Health:
The health of the newborn babies is very sensitive. They get easily infected. The most common thing for a baby is to get rash in its diaper area. Always use cloth diapers instead of artificial nappies. Some babies may vomit frequently. It is quite normal as the babies spit a small amount of milk after feeding. Apart from this, if there is any more complication, please consult a doctor as soon as possible.
