23/02/14  More problems in Bangkok. Please be careful and stay well away from any protest sites. 

23/02/14  Thailand News is reporting grenades thrown at the anti-government rally site in Trat province. 2 dead 40 injured

22/02/14  Thai farmers cancelled the protest at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport after arriving at a deal with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.  Apparently if they don't get their money they will return.

21/02/14  Political troubles in Bangkok are still ongoing.  If you are visiting Bangkok stay away from protest sites. Your hotel will give you the latest information.  Bangkok id amazing and should cause you no problems if you are sensible.  Be aware & be careful.  Outside Bangkok there are no known problems.

"Heavy Rain and Strong Wind-Wave in Southern Thailand"
No. 17 Time Issued : January 15, 2012

        The easterly wave remains across the Gulf and southern Thailand. Fairly widespread rain is likely from Chumphon southward with isolated heavy to very heavy rain especially in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla during 1-2 days. People in risky areas along foothills near waterways are warned of flash flood. The strong wind-waves in the Gulf of Thailand are expected 2-3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats stay ashore.

                 Bangkok should be drained of water in approx 10 days, 

16/10/11    Travellers be aware Kho san road is under a foot of water.  

                    Check with your airlines as some are offering changes to

                    tickets with no penalty.  Thai news stations are reporting that they should be able to keep the water out of the center of Bangkok.  It is still raining and trains and roads are badly affected.

                      automatic  passport inspection system to ease to       

                      problems of overcrowding at Thai immigration.  Changes

                      should take effect from the end of 2011.
