The 1970’s period found Kev working with various named bands, the most significant being the world famous hit recording band Procol Harum. Kev embarked on a solo career in 1988 and was voted entertainer of the year for Kent in 1989. As a solo artist Kev has travelled throughout the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.

During 1995 as resident host and compere at the Show bar, Eastbourne Pier, Kev worked as a solo as well as producing and participating in variety floor shows. Bringing pleasure to audiences of all ages. 1995 was also the year that Kev returned to the Middle East as a representative for Britain during British weeks in Syria and the United Arab Emirates. This involved entertaining nationalities at The World Trade Centre in Dubai. 1996 found Kev entertaining on both cruise and ferry lines, prior to securing a summer season at a large holiday centre on the south coast. Throughout this time Kev performed nightly with another keyboard player, forming the successful duo “Brilliante”.

Kev always gains respect wherever he performs; he is able to adapt instinctively to please his audience. Assisted by a natural line in chat, Kev is able to read and respond to any audience, regardless of age or nationality.

Kev is perfectionists where his music is concerned; this is evident in the investment in the latest technology that enables him to produce the sound of a big band. Kev is well respected amongst his peers within the world of professional entertainment. In fact other artists rely on Kev for their own backing tracks and recording needs. During 2001 Kev returned to University to study for a BA (hons) degree in Performing Arts and Production, graduating in 2004. Kev has also produced and recorded a live album for the Hot Rats a Folk rock and world roots trio which is currently on commercial release.

Kev is a highly motivated and dedicated performer with vast and varied experience in the entertainment industry. A performer with excellent vocals and musicianship both powerful and controlled, delivered with a natural charm. One of the few solo entertainers whose presence, personality, is evident even at the larger venues. Truly, a natural “Entertainer”.
