Welcome to the website for Keig CommunityKeig is a small community in the heart of beautiful, unspoilt Donside, in rural Aberdeenshire, about twenty five miles north west of Aberdeen. The modern village is in essence a linear settlement, with a thriving Primary School and the Community Hall, a part of Keig School, plays a vital and active part in bringing the community, and those living nearby, together. Essential modifications, to allow full access for disabled visitors, and to facilitate additional storage of equipment, are now needed, and this website was devised as a means of keeping the community informed about events aimed at raising funds for these changes. Please feel free to contribute items for the website in the form of any of the following: news items, adverts, etc; photographs of Keig, past and present; photographs or scanned images of old maps showing Keig as it was; recollections of times and people past; stories, poems, songs........ .....in fact anything that you might like to share about this beautiful part of Scotland.
