TERMS & CONDITIONSGUIDED TOURS – 2012Please read our terms and conditions carefully prior to making a booking. The terms below assume that there will be an element of tailoring to suit your needs. Costs of coach and/or vehicle hire, other forms of transport such as ferries, your personal accommodation and subsistence, and entertainment or special events, are therefore excluded here. A full tour cost quotation will be delivered following discussion with you or your representatives.

1 COACH AND WALKING TOURS
(a) HALF DAY £95 up to 4 hours
(b) FULL DAY
£150 up to 8 hours (c) EVENING £95 up to 4 hours (d) OVERTIME £30 per extra hour daytime and evening £40 per extra hour after midnight
2 DRIVER-GUIDING TOURS
All rates include fuel costs but not the cost of entrance to visitor attractions or other client expenses.
(a) HALF DAY £180 up to 4 hours
(b) FULL DAY
£320 up to 8 hours
(c) EVENING
£180 up to 4 hours
(d) OVERTIME
£40 per extra hour
3 TOUR PLANNING
Where it is necessary to carry out detailed planning of an itinerary for a continuous tour covering several days, including specifying appropriate accommodation, ferry crossings, entertainment or special events, a tour planning fee will be charged. The level is negotiable.
Single day tours are unlikely to require a tour planning fee unless the client requires pre-tour research.
4 ADDITIONAL CHARGES
The following additional charges will apply:
(a) The cost of lunch, dinner and accommodation for the Guide throughout a tour. If clients prefer, IÙL will arrange overnight accommodation and dinner independent of guests at a cost of £80 per night.
(b) Out of pocket expenses where it is necessary to meet visitor groups at locations outside Glasgow.
5 PAYMENT
A deposit of 10% of IÙL Guide fees, plus advance booking or pre-paid third party service charges, and IÙL Guide accommodation, must be paid to secure confirmation of the booking. The payment of a deposit is acknowledgement that you have read and accept our terms and conditions.
The balance of tour costs must be received no later than 14 days prior to the start of the tour. Payments should be made as follows:
i. GBPounds sterling by direct bank transfer is preferred.
ii. Cheques in GBPounds drawn on a British bank or building society are acceptable.
iii. Cash payment can be considered only in exceptional circumstances.
6 CANCELLATION
Note: We strongly advise all clients that they secure suitable cancellation insurance when making a booking. Please note, however, that tour plan fees, advance booking deposits or fees for third party services are not refundable. All cancellations must be made in writing.
Rebates of IÙL fees will be made as follows:
i. Up to three months before scheduled start of tour - 100% rebate
ii. Between three months and three weeks before scheduled start of tour – 50% rebate iii. Within three weeks of schedule start of tour – 0% rebate. | ||
