Current Projects / Planning Matters

The Inverness Civic Trust is an independent voluntary body made up of citizens who have an interest in both conserving and enhancing the general environment of the City.

Part of the work of the Trust involves electing a panel of members to look at key Planning Applications and comment on attempts to change the built heritage of the City, particularly in relation to its Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas.

The Cases Panel of the Committee meets every month to decide on appropriate action to take to further its aims. This involves commenting both constructively and critically on Planning matters.

Some of the key projects the Trust has recently been or is currently involved with include:

• Ness River/Canal Crossing Consultation
• Flood Defence Scheme
