How do I book?

We are not an agency, but a co-operative group of harpists who wish to provide a service for the bereaved. Therefore, please contact the harpist of your choice through the email address and/ or phone number supplied with her contact details. If you wish, you can send a text to her mobile and ask her to contact you. If you have any other queries, please email us.

What areas are covered?

While the majority of our harpists are based in the North West of England and North Wales, many are willing to travel further afield.

Can the harp be taken outside, for example to play during the committal?

If the harp is to be played at a graveside, your harpist will need to liaise with the Funeral Director. Your harpist will usually bring a Celtic harp for this, as it is lighter and can be moved more quickly and easily than a concert harp. In any but the most perfect weather, it will be necessary for a small gazebo to be erected to protect the harp from rain or direct sunshine.

For the same reasons, if there is difficult access to a venue (for example more than a few steps into a church, and no accessible lift or ramp) your harpist may bring a Celtic harp rather than a concert harp.

Can I choose music that is special to me for the service?

Of course. We aim to provide a personal and memorable musical contribution in accordance with your wishes. Each harpist has an extensive playlist of classical, Celtic and modern music from which you can select.

I want a piece of music which is not on my harpist's playlist. Can I request it?

Depending on the time available, it may be possible for your harpist to locate, buy and learn a particular piece of music for your service or ceremony. There is a small extra charge for this of £10 per piece. Please consult with your chosen harpist who will advise you.
