Oil Painting Basics and beyond— Jackie Cox

A day of exploring the different ways we can apply oil paints. We'll be working towards creating a beautiful autumn/winter scene whilst learning about traditional and water based oil paints, colour mixing and using techniques such as impasto, glazing and sgraffito that once learned can be used with other art mediums. All materials can be provided for a small charge, but bring along oil paints and brushes, if you have them

Learn how to create a wreath with a difference this year.
Come along and make a bird feeder wreath for the winter months ,it will give you or others hours of fun as you watch the different birds enjoy your
creativity.
Great as a present or just to enjoy yourself.
Time permitting we will also make a door swag that can also be used for birds or just decoration. Bring your own secateurs.
There will be an additional £5 payable on the day to the tutor to cover
materials.
Please be aware that materials will include nuts and seeds and foods that birds enjoy eating so may not be appropriate for those with food allergies.

Abstract Nature– Jackie Garner
SORRY COURSE IS FULLY BOOKED. TAKE A LOOK AT THE OTHER ONES
Beginning with acrylic, stencilling and collage techniques, we will create a background full of layers, depths and interest. Gradual addition of Nature motif and further layers will result in an atmospheric , semi-abstract image. The finished painting will show hints of the initial layers and mixed patterns with drawing, but may be as realistic and abstract as you wish.
Small charge for materials to tutor on the day.
Watercolours for Christmas—Marion Ferraby

I will teach you the unique loose watercolour technique, with a Christmas theme. These will be used to decorate gift bags, Christmas cards, note books and gift tags. Embellishments can then be added. All materials will be provided £10 to Tutor on the day.
Vintage Jewellery Art - Jackie Ginley

This is an upcycle project for preloved jewellery. Turn pieces of unwanted jewellery into works of art, learning how to assemble beads, chains and pieces of jewellery into specific shapes. I have a range of designs for you to choose from or bring your own. Please ensure it is in silhouette form and will fit within an aperture size of 15cm x 15cm.

The Batik experience—Bridget Cordory

Batik is an ancient craft originating in Indonesia but found in many forms around the world. In the workshop you will learn a short history of batik and learn how to use hot wax, tjantings and fabric dye to create designs on fine cotton. You will be able to complete at least 2 pieces of your own artwork. £5 for two pieces of work completed, payable to turor on the day.

Cancellation policy
Summer School
Balance to be paid one month prior to the start.
Deposit is non-returnable.
If a students cancels up to 4 weeks before the start, a refund less the deposit will be given.
After that no refunds will be given unless we can fill the space. If a cancellation can be filled , the balance less the deposit will be refunded.
A full refund will be given if the course is cancelled by us for any reason.
One Day Workshops
